Mix all of these ingredients together, and you’ve got a recipe for fitness success.
Some people may love Bollywood dance while others may love Salsa or Line Dancing. The most sustainable fitness regimens are ones that are of interest to you! Rina knows this and has created a variety of programs to offer to her clients ranging from Bollywood to Cardio Kickboxing. The goal is to keep you motivated, having fun, and moving to music all while keeping your heart rate up and burning calories. The best part is that you get to do it all from the comfort of your home!
Having grown up as an overweight child, teenager, and young adult, Rina especially has an interest in helping to stop child obesity and encouraging kids to live a healthy lifestyle. Having worked with kids in her dance classes for over 15 years, she knows that it’s a hard task to take on, but she is ready to get these kids moving. With this in mind, she created The Burn Jr. The Burn Jr. has classes that kids and teens will enjoy and look forward to revolving around the things that they already like doing such as different dance styles, playing sports, martial arts, cheerleading, and more. These classes will increase their cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, mobility, and agility all while having fun and staying active. It is a proven fact that kids that exercise and stay active continue with that lifestyle for many years to come. Rina wants to get your kids moving now so that they can continue to grow into healthy and happy teens and young adults!
Rina’s Story
My name is Rina and I grew up as an overweight child and teenager that continued to grow into an overweight young adult and adult. I had tried it all from Herbalife to Ideal Protein, low carb to low fat, personal trainer to elliptical, cabbage soup diet to the military diet. It always worked until I started to eat normally again, and then would gain it all back plus some more. I’m sure many of you can relate to this never ending cycle.
Dance has always been a passion of mine. I started dancing at age 5 and continued to do so through middle school, high school, college, and now am the founder and director of a dance school based in NJ! Regardless of my love and passion for dance, my weight and size often left me behind. There were always so many missed opportunities just because of the way I looked.
In 2020 when Covid hit the US, I faced being confined to my home and teaching all my dance classes virtually. I had two choices in front of me. 1. I could cook lots of food, eat it, and stay minimally active in my home while thinking about how I’m stuck in this pandemic. 2. I could take the months of being stuck at home and take control of my food choices, water intake, exercise regimen, and most importantly make positive changes to my lifestyle.
As you may have guessed, I chose #2. In April 2020, I took the plunge and took control of my health and wellness. I decided that this was going to be my last and final attempt to change my look and my lifestyle. I completely changed my eating habits, increased my daily water intake, and added cardio and strength training into my daily routine! In 10 months, I have gone from a size 18 to a size 8/10, and feel and look better than I ever have before!
I have always had an affinity to helping people become the best versions of themselves whether it be kids, teens, or adults. Now, with my ACE certifications in Group Fitness and Personal Training as well as my ACE certification in Youth Exercise, I can do exactly that. I look forward to making a difference in the lives of so many children and adults!
Progress varies from person to person and situation to situation; always remember that small steps in the right direction is better than standing still or going in the wrong direction. Nothing happens overnight! As long as you can remember those two things, you’re destined for success!
